I would like to thank everyone who has been involved in the publishing process of my book.
Until I was introduced to Karen by a trusted family friend, I had several false starts. With patient guidance over my hurdles of self-limiting beliefs, she supported me through to the end.
My book is about a unique evidence based method of reflexology, which I researched and developed while working in cancer care. It is something that needs to be out there in the reflexology world as it has the potential to help many people when understood and applied correctly.
It has been a labour of love and the culmination of many years work. As a reluctant writer, this book was going to be a one off and as such I wanted it to be the best it could possibly be in terms of content, colour and quality.
At our first meeting approximately a year ago, I felt confident that Karen was going to be able to help with that final push to publish my manuscript that I had been procrastinating over for the last 7 years. Little did I know then just how much work lay ahead, and with regular mentoring calls she helped me to overcome frequent bouts of writers block. As a reluctant writer this was invaluable!
Another big challenge was finishing the manuscript, moving on to proof-reading and editing which was done swiftly and professionally once I let go! I learnt there will always be something else that can be tweaked or added and it was a relief once this happened.
The last part of the process was over to Sam Pearce at SWATT Books. At the first meeting with Sam, I was confident she was going to do a great job creating the book. By now I had a very clear idea of what the finished book would look and feel like. Sam did a fantastic job working to create my vision, a high-end, full colour book with more than 200 images.
