Want to write a book? Here are 4 things to do first

I have something important to admit.

In my six step process to write, publish and promote your book, the writing part doesn’t actually happen until step number four. This is the process that I’ve documented in my new book that you can pre-order now (if you haven’t done so already!) I’m sure that you can see that there’s not much point in writing your book if you haven’t done all the preparation first.

Here’s a short video that tells you more about what you need to nail before you even think about writing your book!

There are various things that are important:

• You need to know your ideal clients and what they want to hear from you.
• It’s useful to be clear on why you’re writing your book and what it will give you, as well as having all the processes in place to make the most from your writing.
• Of course, being clear about what you want to get known for is essential too.
• As well as understanding your competition and what makes you different.
These first steps are part of what I call ‘creating your book-ready business’. This is what I teach all of my one-to-one clients, even those who aren’t writing a book.

It is the process that sets you up for attracting clients, generating leads, and selling more than your one-to-one time. Then you’ll have everything in place to run a successful business.
