Interview with Lorraine Palmer, author of Raw Food in a Flash

Lorraine PalmerIn our Author’s Journey Facebook group this week, Sheryl Andrews interviewed Librotas client, Lorraine Palmer. She started working with me with a VIP planning day in 2015 and published her book last year.

Lorraine is the author of Raw Food in a Flash, written for peri-menopausal women and those going through the menopause. It includes some great tips on self care and fabulous raw food recipes.

Having gone through the menopause early in life, Lorraine struggled to find a natural remedy. So when she found something that worked for her, she knew that she had to write a book to shout about it and help other women going through a similar situation.

Lorraine Palmer’s interview

Lorraine shares the highs and lows of her journey and what she wish she’d known before she started.

In the interview, you’ll find out:

  • Why she decided to work with a book mentor and what she got from this support
  • What she wish she’d have known before she started, and how that may have changed some of the things she encountered whilst writing and publishing it
  • The impact of some of the decisions that she made during her journey
  • Her lowest point and the impact that this had on her book’s completion
  • What she’ll do differently when she writes her next book!

So what is Lorraine’s biggest success to date?

“The book has definitely raised my own profile and credibility. When you’ve got a book, people want to know you. People want to work with me, they want to collaborate with me, and it’s helped me to get more clients. So if you’re thinking about writing a book and perhaps you’re on the fence, trust me… with your book, people will be coming to you. Being an author somehow propels you into another stratosphere to people who want to do business with you”.
