Interview with Steve Judge, author of Don’t Lean On Your Excuses

"You should have a book". As a popular keynote speaker and former paratriathlete world champion, Steve Judge heard this many times before writing his autobiography!

And when Steve made the decision to start, he thought it would be easy. "You write a book. You edit it. Your friends read it. You upload it to Amazon. And bish, bash, bosh, it's published".

In this interview, you'll find that it wasn't long before he realised it wasn't quite that easy! He started typing it in 2017, but went round and around in circles. Although he was writing, it wasn't becoming a book. He got lost and frustrated, didn't know what he was doing, which is when he was introduced to us.

In December 2017, we got together to plan out the book, shared techniques to help with the writing, worked to deadlines, gave resources to cope with writing an autobiography, gave feedback on and helped develop his manuscript, and gave tips to market it. We guided him through the whole process to ensure he wrote a book that represented him and his brand.

In July 2019, Don't Lean On Your Excuses was published by Librotas Books.

Five months on, I interviewed Steve find out what's happened since his book was published. And wow, what a journey he has been on!

In my interview with Steve Judge, you'll find out:

  • What triggered Steve to finally write his book (you'll laugh at 4 mins 30!)
  • Why it was worth investing time and money in his book, what he got from working with us, and how it has already helped him to raise his profile massively already.
  • The unique strategies he used to get into flow and write it in a timely manner, alongside running a business, looking after a family and volunteering.
  • What he specifically did to help him to successfully market his book alongside writing it.
  • The toughest things he faced whilst writing his autobiography, and how - with help from Sheryl - he managed to overcome these difficulties.
  • The one thing that we recommended he did that has already helped Steve to get high paid speaking engagements and sell 801 books so far.
  • And how his book is already making a huge difference to those who need to read it.

I highly recommend you watch this interview with Steve Judge now - and get a copy of his book!
