The F Word

It’s not surprising that so many people fail in business. It’s the F word that gets you, stops you in your tracks and makes you question whether you are doing the right thing.

It can hold you back, prevent you from taking action, and actually it is the big thing that can sabotage you and your business.

Whether it…

  • Stops you from making that all important phone call.
  • Holds you back from approaching the person who you know can help you.
  • Or prevents you from doing something different that gets you more visible in your business.

But what happens if you decide to do something different…

1. What is the worst or the best thing that can happen when you take that next step?

2. What happens if you don’t take action?

3. How would you feel if you are where you are now in 6 months or even a years time?

It’s not healthy for you and your business.

And the F word? You’ve got it, it’s FEAR!

Are you ready to banish the F-word from your life?

1. Don’t censor your dreams or ideas

You may be sat there dreaming about where to take your life and your business, but how often do you censor what comes out of your mouth or your head, or you start to listen to those people who doubt you?

What would happen if you took some time to get totally clear about what you want.  Whether you  journal, visualise or draw about what you would like to have happen, and don’t censor anything!

Get clear about why you want it first. When you know why you want something, the how will come when you are ready.  It might feel like a big task at the moment, but you can get help and support to bring it all together.

2. Think about what would happen if you don’t http://healthsavy.com make that change

If you were in the same place as you are now in a years time, how would that make you feel?

Does the pain of seeing yourself in that place, feeling the emotions you would feel, or hearing yourself or others talking to you spur you into action now?

Is the pain of staying where you are enough to give you the push to take the next step?

3. Get rid of the F-word

What would happen if you no longer had worry, fear or anxiety in your life or business?

In her new book, Small Business Giant Potential, my friend Roberta Jerram quotes the film ‘We bought a zoo’, which I watched a couple of weeks ago.  Matt Damon’s character says “Sometimes all you need is twenty seconds of insane courage. Just literally twenty seconds of just embarrassing bravery, and I promise you something great will come of it.”

What could you do if you were courageous for just 20 seconds?

Just like the quote on the top right of this page, if you wait until you are ready, you’ll be waiting a very long time!

So many of my readers have said they like exactly that same quote… It really breaks being courageous down into something easily doable…. 20 seconds of courage – something great will come of it! I referred to it in my 21 business tips in 21 minutes audio this week as well, number 6 “be more courageous”.

If anyone missed it, it’s here: https://audioboo.fm/boos/1660457-21-business-tips-in-21-minutes-roberta-jerram

    Thanks a million Karen xx
