What makes a book unique?

Nobody wants to write a book that’s a vanity project. Or to write about something that’s been done to death many times before.

Because that doesn’t add any value to you or your readers.

You want to find the thing that makes you different. That makes a book unique.

The hook that sets you aside from your competitors. And the best way to write it that allows you to stand out.

Especially when you know that you’re missing out on opportunities, because you’ve not written it yet.

And that’s what was happening to Nick.

With 20 years of experience of helping teams to achieve high performance, and a signature system that showcases his expertise, he knew that he had lots of knowledge to impart to help both leaders and teams to achieve greater success. But he wasn’t sure how to write it.

Which is why he signed up for the Smart Author System.

What makes a book unique?

In week three of the Smart Author System, I encourage clients to do a deep dive into competitor books, and through his research he realised the uniqueness of his model.

By contacting 12 leaders he admires he has got additional views on leading teams, which adds huge credibility.

Feedback from conference delegates have interjected humous anecdotes, many of which he has already shared on social media during his promotion.

His book, Team, Lead, Succeed is 75% complete and he has written his book alongside supporting his clients and conference organisers.

His beta readers have provided honest feedback which means that he knows that he is on the right track.

And he has already created a list of people who are interested in purchasing his book once it has been published.

Nick recently said to me:

The Smart Author System has given me the practical knowledge, hints, tips and ideas, about what I’ve needed to do and a timeline for when things needed to be done.

The programme has enabled me to understand the end-to-end process of writing a book and how to create a structure for each of the chapters in my book.  It has also provided me with practical ideas on how to begin promoting it prior to publication and next steps after the draft is completed.

Importantly, it has provided me with both motivation and inspiration, during those difficult times, when I have had writer’s block”.

I know Nick will agree that if you have a book inside you ready to come out, and it’s a must not a should, then it’s time to write it and find what makes a book unique.
