Here's how not to create a successful business

I’m going to get on my soap box today.

I’m fed up with seeing small business owners being small.  Even if you are the only person in your business, it doesn’t mean that you have to work by yourself with minuscule ambitions and mediocre dreams.

You get what you focus on – remember the old saying ‘whether you believe you can or you can’t, you are right’!

Let me give you an example.

If you think that December is going to be quiet, that nobody has any money, and everyone is just thinking about Christmas, well you are wrong.  There are still people ready and waiting for you to help them. You just need to tell the right people what you are doing and the results that you can help them to achieve.

Also, there are too many business owners who are focusing on hope as their business strategy and I tell you, hope is not enough by itself.  Do you think that the most successful entrepreneurs sit back waiting for things to happen?

Now you don’t have to be working 24/7 to grow your business, but you need the strategies that work too. Perhaps you are scared or maybe you don’t http://premier-pharmacy.com/product-category/adhd/ know where to start, or feel overwhelmed with everything that you feel you should be doing.

This is one of the reasons that I created The Business Wow Factor. A library of information to help you to grow your business, and give you the strategies that actually work, rather than hoping for what might actually happen.  A wealth of marketing support and materials to grow your business and put you on the right track to greater success.

So what’s next?

You can’t get away from the fact that 2014 is just around the corner. I would love to know what you want to create next year and why it is important to you.  Plus what is going to give you the rocket up your backside to make it happen?

Rant over – what can I do today that will help you to create a more successful business in 2014?

I’d love your comments on this post below.

You can find out how you can join us in The Business Wow Factor today to get the strategies to make your business actually happen now rather than just hoping!

Karen, brilliant rant! You are so right. I was tempted to “write-off” December as no good for getting new business. However, I have got one piece of work agreed, and am discussing another for the New Year.

Note my new name – formerly Damonsing now Hill – I got married a couple of weeks ago!

Have a great Christmas and Happy New Year.

    Charlie

Thanks Charlie and well done. I saw your LinkedIn profile earlier and wondered! Congratulations and I’ll drop you a message. Happy Christmas to you and here’s to a great 2014.

Great post Karen Women and people generally are begining to wake up! One of my predictions for 2014 is that we will continue seeing this shift grow from now on in. More and more women playing a bigger game. To get their gifts out into the world where they are needed they can’t afford not to! And – How do we know our limitations without testing our potential and going beyond our comfort zone?

Always good to have a rant now and again especially if it can help people shift their perspective and open them up to greater success.
