How do you know when it’s the right time to write a book?
This is one of the questions that Lesley Strachan asked herself before she started to write a book.
Is there ever a right time, a right place or a right space? We find with many authors that something finally triggers them to take action, and then they find the time to do it!

Sheryl Andrews recently interviewed Librotas client, Lesley Strachan for the ‘Author Spotlight’ in the Author’s Journey Facebook Group.
Lesley’s book writing journey started six months ago, when she realised it was the right time to write her book, and she found the writing part easy. As a Jack Canfield trainer, she had stories to tell, lots of material to share, and a passion for helping young people to find their way in life. She recognised that many teenagers needed help to find the right job, have financial independence, develop meaningful relationships, and have the confidence to create a life that they love, which are the underlying themes in her book.
But she also realised that she couldn’t do it all by herself, so engaged myself and the Librotas Team to help her to bring the book together. I am delighted that her book, The Ultimate Guide for Parents will be out on 31 May (and you can pre-order her book on Amazon).
In the interview, Sheryl sought to find out more about the highs and lows that Lesley faced whilst writing her book, what kept her on track to ensure she finished it, the hardest decision she had to make, and what she wish she’d known before she started.
