Interview with Mary Nonde, author of Awaken Your Intuitive Vision

Life has a way of challenging us from time to time. But it's how you recover from these challenges that will impact on the future life you create.
When Mary Nonde lost everything, it was her own process and wisdom that helped her to get out of a deep hole. Then three years ago, she realised that she needed to turn her life adversities into a book. And as fate would have it, just a few days later, she was introduced to me!
Mary is a creativity coach, feng shui practitioner and movement art therapist. Her book was created from her own vision board process and teaches the eight steps that she has used to help over 1200 people over the last 10 years.
Awaken Your Intuitive Vision was published earlier this year through Librotas Books and I was delighted to interview Mary earlier this month about her book writing and publishing journey. In our interview, Mary talks about the turning point that helped her to go from having an idea to actually sitting down to write her book - and why she almost didn’t finish it.
The biggest challenge Mary had was doing it alone, so she chose not to and engaged me as her book mentor. The accountability kept her motivated to finish it and we worked together to create the flow and bring all of Mary’s ideas together. Then the team helped to turn her manuscript into a beautiful published book.
In our interview, she talks about how her book really complements her workshops and events, and it’s given her the confidence to show up a little more!

Top tips for authors
She also shared her top tips for authors, which are:
- Just do it. If you've got the instinct to write something, don't wait for the perfect moment, just start writing.
- Make sure that you carve out that time and space for yourself when you’re at your most creative and your ideas are flowing.
- When the inspiration is there, whatever it is that's coming through you, just write it down. Don't even stop to look at what's coming out. They may well be your most inspired pieces.
