How to successfully launch a book! [week 3 – Podcasts]
Last week, I attended a brilliant business event in Stratford upon Avon. Run by my go-to business mentor, Karen Skidmore, it was a great opportunity to catch up with people I hadn’t seen for years and to meet others in the flesh, who I’d only seen through the Zoom screen. Plus, it gave us an excuse to look around Stratford – a beautiful town with plenty of literary inspiration!
It’s week 3 of the book launch implementation. And whilst plans are moving forward, I have been reminded this week about how much time the editing process takes! The manuscript finally looks like a book. The front cover is designed, and it has been typeset. On Tuesday I spent the day reviewing the PDF before my editor does her proofread next week.
But let me spend a moment focusing on the marketing side for this update. Because there has been some progress!
This week I’d like to talk about podcasts.
I have a blatant request – if you know anyone looking for podcast guests in the entrepreneurial space, I’d love to know, so please comment below or put me in touch. This has been a strategy I have employed in my business for many years and I love to inspire other people’s audiences.
And I’m setting up my own podcast! Series one is planned and I’m working with Steve Randall (one of the contributors to Book Marketing Made Simple and a podcasting expert) to put this into place! Watch the video to find out more and why last week’s in-person event also offered me another great opportunity!
If you’d like to look over my shoulder as I plan and execute the launch of Book Marketing Made Simple, watch the other videos on my blog. Or check out the playlist on YouTube so you can see my real-time book launch journey!
