If life hasn’t taught you anything, then you probably won’t have any lessons to teach your clients.

But let’s get down to reality. Life has its challenges, its ups and downs, and hey none of us know what’s around the corner.

The things that have gone wrong in our lives are the things that have shaped us. Our lessons and learnings are the things that will allow us to help our clients.

When you’ve had failures and frustrations, you’ll be able to guide people so that they don’t have to face the same things that you have gone through.

And when you know the lessons, shortcuts and successes, you can support people to thrive.

That’s why I help people to write, publish and promote their books. I wrote my first one in 2009, and now I’m on the fifth. I can use my experiences and knowledge to help you, so that you don’t have to do everything by yourself – both the highs and the lows, and most importantly the shortcuts that will help you.

I’ve got many clients currently working on books where they are using their experiences to help others.

One nursed her mother through a terminal illness and blogged at the same time. She came to me towards the end of last year with 100,000 words in the form of a blog. We’ve been working together to turn this into a book. When I read her words, it made me laugh and it made me cry. But what’s best about her book is that she can help others who are going through something similar. She can give them the tools they need, and a means to cope with a tough diagnosis.
